 Kronotex GmbH & Co. KG was founded as a subsidiary of the Swiss based Krono Group in 1992, as a manufacturer of Medium and High density fibre boards, which lead to the commencement of production of laminate flooring in 1996. The Krono group in total produces over 50% of worldwide laminate products with well in excess of 50 million M2 of that from the Kronotex GmbH, plant which is unique in world terms.Kronotex products have been available in South Africa, through a series of local dealers, for almost 10 years, but in early 2006 it was decided to consolidate the Kronotex supply chain in South Africa, which resulted in the establishment of Kronotex South Africa (Pty) Ltd. Kronotex South Africa was established to operate as the sole importer and distributors of the entire Kronotex GmbH range of products, and has set about establishing a network of soundly based trading partnerships in Southern Africa. The criterion for these partnerships has been one of commitment to meaningfully promote the Kronotex range of products, and to providing end users with quality service and support, in line with established international standards. Kronotex South Africa is available to support its dedicated retail dealer network and support this commitment through its 5 offices and/or warehouses throughout Southern Africa. Kronotex South Africa will at all times be available to provide a direct communication with the end customer, particularly in terms of a back-up support and service, thus providing an important security to the customer.
